A night in the city

kareina In theory I can stay late at worl in Monday or Thursday and attend the Uma shore crafts night as well as racking up some plus hours for our flextime calculations. However, as I am still at the learning part of the job, instead of doing, I wasn't feeling inspired to stay at the office till time to head to the meeting.
So I caught the bus to the city center and went the the crafts store, thinking O could get som thick black yarn to fix the edges on my coat where the old yarn has ripped away. However, that store didn't have any of the sort I had in mind (lots of other beautiful yarns I would love to take home, but the yarn drawer is full, so I left them there.
By then it was after 17:00, and I was hungry, and hd nearly two hours to kill, and no where to spend it, so, erather than eatong the food I had with me I wrnt to an Ethiopian restaurant. I was the only one there and I enjoyed a lively meal. I had asked for the kik aluvhawot (yellow split pea dish), but she suggested that the Yemsir wot (spicy red lentil fish) was even better, so I said "you choose", and she brought me some of each. Both were wonderful! The spicy is more to Keldor’s taste, and the yellow more to mine, but I enjoyed both very much! Though I was glad to have thevyellow to cool the mouth from the red. I will have to bring Keldor there.
After eating I checked a local store that was still open to see if goole maps was right about them carrying Birkenstocks. However, it turs out they only dell them on line. But that nicely used up the time, abd I reached crafts night right at 19.00.
There were three od us this week. One embroiderying an edhe to his new coat, one making a new apron, and I was nålbindning. I happly listened to them talk, as I was feeling too tired to say much. Then I took the bus to M's house, chatted a bit, and went to sleep. Now I am on the bus that will get me to work about 06:40, so I will be able to end my work week early and still work a full day.
