Sunday was a small gathering of half a dozen of us in Reengarda for a bbq, as we are coming to the end of weather where thatv s possible. Half of them did archery, too, but I opted to just do nålbindning and chat.
Monday I drove in to my first day at eork. 1 hour, 2 minutes, with the cruise control set to the speed limit the whole way. I left early, as I didn't know how much time it would take to figure out how yo pay for parking, so I had a hlaf an hour to do that and eat breakfast before my 08:30 meeting my boss at the University Library entrance. However, my boss wasn't there. Instead one of our other colleagues, T, greeted me and said that K is sick. T and I spent the morning walking atound, I was introduced to lits of people, we got me a temporary guest id card so I can get in to our corridor uuntil my own card is ready. We took photos for that card, got my email address working, picked up mu computer, and claimed a desk in a shared office for it. None of the others who use that office were in, so I will meet them later. Then I started getting the computer set up and learning my way around yhe department shared files in Teams.
Eventually 17:00 came around, and I started toward home. I stopped briefly at the local grocery store before getting on the highway, and the got stuch much longer for a construction zone, so wasn't home till 19:00! A brutal introduction to commuting.
So today I am trying the buss, which will soon arrive...
