After all the good progress we made Saturday cleaning the basement workshop, Keldor started feeling nauseous and headachy that evening, so did a bit more work on my own that night. The next day he was still not feeling good, so I did some more work without him, and today he stayed home from work, but by the time I got home from Swedish class this afternoon he was feeling better enough that we started cutting up the old oil tank. Sadly, he didn't have enough cutting blades for his angle grinder to finish the job today, so he will get some tomorrow before heading home from work. I am looking forward to getting that tank out of here!  Besides, I suspect that the reason he got sick this weekend was the tank--during the cleaning process, once we moved the stuff that we had been storing on top of the tank we opened the access hatch to make certain it was empty. It was, but there was residual smell, and I suspect that the vapor was enough to trigger his headache and nausea.  We also left the access hatch open and the ventilation fan in the room running to get the fumes out as much as possible before starting to cut up the tank, as we didn't want to risk sparks from the cutting process igniting the fumes. However, the outtake for that vent is right under the living room window, so it is possible that his resting on the couch didn't exactly help the recovery process, as there could have been more fumes making it into the living room.
