why is it?

Why is it that it takes ever so much longer to create all of the many graphs which make it easy to see what is going on with the data that it does to write about what they all show? Nearly seven hours of uni work today resulted in only 843 new words to the thesis, and only one new figure referenced. However, there are really lots and lots of new figures. I've just added them in as letters B, C, and D to pre-existing figures, because it will look better that way. And lots of other graphs created which won't make the thesis, but I had to look at them anyway, because they *might* have shown something useful or interesting... It is a good thing I enjoy playing with creating graphs in spreadsheets, but I've had quite enough of it for one day.
The only other things even remotely noteworthy in my life today was a short walk down to Strickland Falls, a very pretty, tiny, set of falls at the next bend in the road, and the fact that I *finally* managed to empty my personal in-box last night after dance practice--the oldest letter replied to was a couple of months old. So if you think I owe you an e-mail, let me know because the message to which I was meant to reply has gone astray and I don't know about it.
Time for yoga, followed by some much needed sleep!
