tedious does not always equal bad
Nov. 15th, 2008 10:42 pmToday was one of those "rearrange data in Excel Spreadsheets" kind of day. I've got all that new data I'd come up with over the course of the past few weeks, and it is time to start pulling it into the summary spreadsheets which do other calculations or graphs for me, but some of them require some rearranging first, and some information wasn't where it was meant to be (generally the samples I'd worked on late at night, wherein I did only some of the summarizing steps at the end of the day, fully intending to get back to it later. Well, it is later, and it is done, but it was harder to accomplish now than it would have been on the day. Almost seven and one half hours of uni work today, and I'm pretty much ready to look at the resultant graphs and say something about what it all means.
The weird part? I actually enjoy doing this kind of work, even if it does get tedious at times. But my eyes think I've been looking at the computer screen for quite long enough, so time to go, get some exercise and get some sleep...
