It is finally happening!

I have been in line for surgery to get my breasts removed for more than a year now. I just got the call and am scheduled for 14 March! I am so excited. (and a little scared, of course, since surgery comes with recovery time)

So looking forward to being able to go without a bra! I know that many women with larger breasts than mine are totally comfortable with theirs hanging and swinging free, but I have always hated those moments each day between removing the bra and lying down in bed and hugging the body pillow to support them again.

I am glad this is now scheduled - overall, the process seems to have been pretty reasonable.

It has been. The sense of relief that it is really happening is rather profound!

I am also pleased at how much positive feedback I got when I announced this on FB. I was hesitant, given how many times in the past 40 years people have responded to my saying I wish they were gone by trying to tell me how/why they felt I shouldn't do it. So far the only person who has given any sort of negative feedback is the former boyfriend (and still very dear friend) who shared with me in a PM that he thinks I should keep the nipples because even men have nipples. SO. NOT. HAPPENING.
