It turns out that there is an SCA singles FB group for Drachenwald, and that poly people are also welcome, so long as they are open to the possibility of new relationship(s). When one joins they encourage one to fill in an introduction form. Having done that, I thought I would repeat it here, just for posterity. I stuck these three photos across the top: #1 (cropped so that only Ellinor's arms show), #2, and #3

I AM:
Name: Riia Chmielowski
Shire: Frostheim
SCA name: Kareina Talventytär
Year of Birth: 1966
Height: 170 cm
Hair: Not as long as I wish, but at least it makes it past shoulder length. Oh, it is mostly brown, with a few strands here and there of other colours ranging from silver to black and everything in between (and has never been dyed).
Eyes: Grey.
Ethnicity: So far as I know half my ancestors came from Finland, the other half from Poland.
Body Type: Reasonably fit
Gender: Irrelevant
Sex preference and related: I fall in love easily, and tend to find attractive the people I love, regardless of their gender, age, or appearance. However, I confess that I am more likely to fall in love with people who exhibit intelligence, skill, and/or talent. I also have been known to fall in love with long hair at first sight.
Relationship Status: polyamorous with one part-time partner, with whom I own a house, and a few other loved ones scattered too far away to spend as much time as I would like
Relationship desired: polyamorous; I would love to have another local partner; however, I would welcome additional loves who are far away.
Religion: none, and don't want one
Political stance: Thankful that I am now a Swedish citizen can pretend that I am not from a certain country with an embarrassment for president.
Hobbies besides SCA: Acroyoga (and regular yoga), Swedish folk dance (and other forms of dance), reading, gaming (both board games and role playing games; have even been known to attend the occasional Lajv (the Swedish word for LARP), also enjoy hiking and climbing and am trying to learn to play the hammer dulcimer. I don't have enough time for all of my hobbies, especially all of the ones I do because of the SCA, but it is fun to try to cycle through all of them regularly, anyway.
Job: Half-time academic job managing a LA-ICP-MS laboratory for a geology department (this means I shoot rocks with a laser and send the dust through a plasma to find out what the rocks are made of--not just the major ingredients, but also the stuff that is there in such tiny amounts that we can use the phrase
"parts per billion"). Half-time PhD student studying archaeology (the plan is to use that lab to analyze Viking Age soapstone artefacts to figure out where they came from, and thus what the trade networks at the time must have looked like).
I have this many children: Zero, and I don't want any of my own, but am ok with a partner having one or more so long as I am never called upon to be a parent.
I drink alcohol: Not at all.
Smoke: Never, and would not consider being involved with someone who does.
Drug user: Never, and would not consider being involved with someone who does.
Tattoos: None.
Piercings: My ears were pierced back in high school, but I haven't worn earrings since the early 1990's
Forms of communication: Talking is good, as is writing/reading. I am happy with pretty much any form of communication from: in person to video call to phone call to email to IM or text message. Just don't ask me to send snail mail; it could be weeks before I get to it, if I remember at all.
Important info a partner should know: I have never wanted the breasts that grew in during puberty, and am in line to have them removed; I am really looking forward to never needing to wear a bra or other supporting garment again; if this bothers you, then perhaps I am not the one for you.

Polyamorous (or at least willing to try), honest/willing to communicate, with a sense of adventure, doesn’t smoke or snus or do drugs, doesn’t drink to get drunk, interested in participating in one or more of my hobbies with me.
