accidently joined a meme

Some of my friends have been doing the meme wherin you are assigned a letter and then have to name five fictional characters starting with that letter. I hadn't meant to play (no time, no time!), but then vesta_aurelia made a comment about one of her selected fictional characters to which I was moved to reply. Then she replied with the letter T. Oops, I didn't mean to ask for a letter!

Mrs. Thomas, one of the people who provided shelter to the young Anne, before she was adopted by Matthew and Marilla at Green Gables. If Mrs. Thomas had a first name, Anne never used it. She did comment that Mrs. Thomas probably meant to be good and kind to her, but that "it must be very trying to have a drunken husband".

Hey - I'll take a letter. I loved the Anne of GG comments - I avidly read and reread all of them and used L.M. Montgomery in my Master's thesis. I am also amused about the T'bor comment.
