Oops, do much for finishing it tonight
Apr. 13th, 2015 07:35 pmJust as I completed the first pass of sewing the lovely tablet woven trim onto my hood this evening I finally noticed whay should have been obvious sooner--I have been attaching it wrong side up! The difference between right and wrong sides on this trim is subtle, but on the right side the pattern is crisper. I was very deliberate when I put the trim around the face, and made certain it attached right side up. I don't recall thinking about it at all when I started sewing it to the bottom, and obviously never checked, but now it is time to rip it off and do it again, right side up this time, as I am not willing to live with a hood where the pattern is in focus around the face, but blurry around the hem...
In other news, this might be my favourite place to see--a beautiful room in an old Swedish farm house with five Nyckelharpa players practicing Swedish folk music. Heavenly!
