any SCA people still using LJ?

These days only a handful of people on my friend's list still post, and I find that I miss reading those sorts of posts. I suspect that there are still SCA people using LJ, but I don't happen to have them on my friends list. If you are still here, and would be ok with a long-time SCAadian, currently living in Drachenwald, reading your journal please comment here, or, if you prefer send me a private message, or add me to your friend's list.

PS, I will post this on the few SCA LJ communities I a member of, even though all have been quiet for ages, in hopes that there is someone out there listening. My apologies to those of you who will thus see it multiple times. However, if any of you know SCA people who aren't a member of any of those communities, yet still post regularly, feel free to ask them if I can add them to my list...

Oh, good question. It has been so long I don't remember how I found the three I joined (none of which had had a post in over a year), but they are listed on my profile. However, almost all of my friends on LJ are SCA people (there is one geologist who isn't SCA, but she hasn't posted in many years, and also hasn't posted to the blog that replaced her LJ in a couple of years. I think everyone else has at least been to an event, even if they don't play anymore).

On the other hand, there are lots and lots of active SCA groups on FB, check out the ones I am in, if the topics are interesting, and then the web page will start suggesting others to you.

I post here on LJ quite often, and I also enjoy reading about your adventures and house projects that you write about here... I like LJ a lot more than FB, though that seems to be where folks have moved on to away from here... I don't know of anyone SCA that is posting very often here other than you

I find that I feel silly posting something here that I've already posted on FB - and having FB access on my phone means most of my 'small observations' end up there.

I do miss the good discussions that we once had on LJ, about ethics and modern mores as well as inter-kingdom comparisons. I've been guilty of just using LJ as a personal diary (which my paper one has suffered from thereby) instead of actually posting something worthy.

But I must say, I look forward to your posts each time I log on.

Does this mean you aren't using an LJ app on your phone? (I use ElJay) I don't actually have FB access on my phone these days, but I read LJ on it daily during my morning situps.

I'm still using it but only rarely... it's just harder to get to than ucky Facebook, or G+ (which I don't think is ucky, but is still sparsely populated!)
