The past two days we have made no progress on the earth cellar or the other yard projects (unless you count 15 minutes of throwing rocks down off the pile of mixed dirt and rocks that we had dug out of where the earth cellar is going in, so that later we can load them into the tractor and haul them over to where we wash the rocks before building with them). However I have:

* done some vacuuming

* picked some berries

* backed some apple cobbler

* picked up [livejournal.com profile] linda_linsefors from the airport

* played hammer dulcimer

* found time to cuddle with loved ones

* baked cookies

* made a yummy soup

* finished the edits suggested by my co-author for the poster for the conference I will attend in August

* learned some interesting stuff

* read a couple of chapters out loud to [livejournal.com profile] linda_linsefors and [livejournal.com profile] lord_kjar from the book in progress

* did some grocery shopping

* washed three loads of laundry

* cleaned the loo

* got a foot rub

* removed nettles and other unwanted plants from the smultron patch

Tomorrow we get a houseguest for a couple of days; she is a weaver, so I am hoping this will inspire us to get a project set up on the loom...

I'm glad you're getting to meet Thora! I think the two of you will enjoy each other very much.

I' m looking forward to visiting too! ...and a dressed loom is a happy loom, so I hope I can share some ideas. :)

I don't know much about nettles, but a lady here in Ealdormere does a lot with them. She taught a class on cooking with nettles that I took at "Fruits of our Labours" last year. I'm guessing, though, edible nettles are a spring thing.
