time for another progress report

It has been a long time since I made any effort to do progress reports on my uni work. Lately I have been stressed feeling like I have too much of it to do, and not enough time to do it. Today my small task at trying to combat this was working a full ten hours (with a couple of hours break during the late afternoon). Sadly, the task I was working on today isn't directly of benefit to my project goal, but instead is progress towards submitting an abstract for a conference this summer, where I will tell people about the project. But the figure I am working on will be very useful for reports and publications once the work is done.
However, now I am tired, so I have saved a copy of my work to my office computer (I worked at home today, and rather than spending all day on the remote desktop I simply copied the files over in the morning, and back in the evening), and will now do my yoga and get to sleep. With luck I can finish up everything for that abstract and submit it tomorrow, since the deadline is the 8th.
Next week I return to the mine headquarters for another several days of sample collecting.
I may have forgotten to mention the fact that I was there several days last week--didn't post once from there; I decided to cut down on how much stuff to bring with me, so I left the computer backpack at home, and just put the computer into my normal backpack. However, I also failed to extract the power cable for the computer from that backpack, so I didn't have my own computer available, other than turning it on briefly to copy files, and had to borrow one of theirs. Oops.
