A good day

kareinaI woke up this morning to a long-awaited e-mail. My PhD adviser finally found time in his busy schedule to read and comment upon the draft of a paper I sent him weeks ago. Therefore I spent today incorporating his edits (and finding more of my own), adding the extra paragraph to the conclusion he suggested, and fixing the tables and graphs as needed. I managed to get it done and a new draft sent back to Australia by 17:20, which gave me time to go home and eat the yummy oven pancakes that lord_kjar had made before walking back to uni for choir. With luck I managed to return the draft soon enough that it is still fresh in his mind so that he looks at it straight away. If he likes it I can write the abstract and do the final prep to submit it.
Choir was fun tonight. Well, it usually is, but it was even more fun than usual, since we have a performance on Monday, so we were working out the details of the performance and singing stuff we know fairly well.
I came home with energy enough to both deal with some finances and spend a good 30 minutes playing with my hammer dulcimer. Now I should put down the phone, do yoga, and head to bed. With luck we will manage to finish the poles for the sunshade tomorrow.
