a much more productive day!

kareinaDespite having a meeting in town this morning and not getting home till after 11:00, today was still ever so much more productive than the past couple of days. The problem I'd discovered yesterday turned out to not really be an issue (yay), and I was able to make some new graphs and then just type up results. 1,189 new words, and 7 new figures/tables referenced. Yay! A much better rate--if I can keep this one up, I'll actually finish the project in a reasonable amount of time. (Darn deadline is looming ever nearer, and I still can't tell if I'm going to manage it.)
Tomorrow morning, bright and early, half of the housemates take off for the Brass Monkey War/Bal d'Azure/15th Anniversary of the Barony of Ynys Fawr weekend event. I would have liked to go--a weekend event is a grand excuse to set up my pavilion, even if everyone else is in the Scout Bunk House, and many of the activities are scheduled to take place in the hall. But driving across the island, short though the distance may be, and setting up the pavilion would take more hours/energy away from this project than I feel I can spare at this time. I never missed an event when doing my Master's, unless you count those that took place while I was out in my field area in the Brooks Range for two months one summer. But this time I am finding myself choosing to miss some of them. It is weird, and in some ways sad, but overall I am confidant that I'm making the correct decision, and will enjoy accomplishing much work, and perhaps![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
clovis_t and I will take a bit of time off from our respective uni projects to spend some quality time together, since we will have the house to ourselves.
