kareinaI did not achieve today's goal of finishing chapter five. I did work on it, but it isn't done yet.
I also applied for a post-doc position that sounds interesting. Unfortunately they want someone sooner than my degree will be complete, but possibly after I've got the thesis submitted. I did tell them my timing and suggested that if I were the successful candidate perhaps I could work for a lesser salary between the time of starting and the examination process actually grinding its way through to completion. No idea if such a thing is possible. But I'm not going to be holding my breath on that one. I sure do hope that interesting sounding post-doc positions continue to be advertised after my degree is done at the same rate they have been up to now.
Tomorrow doesn't look good for thesis progress, as I've got that Scientist in Schools
seminar. Thursday I'm doing more rock crushing for fun and profit, so I don't know how much thesis progress I'll manage then either. Damn it, I need more hours in a day! Oh, wait, I said that already. Must be time for sleep. (Checks--yes, yoga is done, 1000 words a day is done, nothing required left to so save brushing my teeth etc...)
