Despite taking two hours out of the middle of my day to head down the hill for a couple of errands, I've already done over five hours of uni work today which resulted in 814 words being written in my thesis, and 3 new figures or tables being created/mentioned in the text. This total includes re-doing a fair bit of calculations, because the first time I did them I'd checked a variety of temperatures and pressures at a 250 bar increment, and these days I do the same sort of calculations with a 100 bar increment. Fortunately for me, the slight improvement in accuracy that results didn't change very much, so I was able to do the "path" calculations from that point using the same slope which worked last time, and have it work again this time, so while I had to re-do a bunch of stuff, it all went smoothly and worked on the first try.

And it is only 5pm! This means that I can take a bit of a break and, with luck, get back to it tonight...

Edit at 22:49 this evening: I did get back to it, only to discover a minor error in the data entry for the re-calculations I'd done, which meant I needed to do those calculations again. The results were only subtly different, but I couldn't leave the wrong ones in there! re-doing those calculations took only 1.5 hours. The rest of the evening was spent doing the calculations I'd intended to do when I got back from the walk I took at 5pm, and I sill don't have a path that is working, though I'm getting closer....

The end result? More than nine hours of actual uni work today, and 966 words written total.
