sleep can work wonders
Dec. 24th, 2008 10:59 amLast night, as I've mentioned, I made an attempt to alter/improve the fit of the nice wool (w/silk lining) winter coat I've been working on for a year plus, but ran into problems and gave it up as a lost cause. Around 04:30 this morning I woke up understanding what the problem was, and how to fix it, so I got up, took the project to the sewing room (where I wouldn't disturb anyone) and un-pinned and re-pinned it together correctly, and lo and behold, it now fits! So I do have a sewing project to take with me to the party this afternoon. Yay!
The roll dough rose beautifully in the fridge, I've shaped it into two Christmas wreaths and two dozen little knots. I'll go bake them in a bit, then go for a jog while they are cooling, get a shower, decorate them, and we can be out the door. Hmm. That list is a bit short on uni work. Perhaps I should squeeze some in there, somewhere...
