pity errands so distract me
Oct. 10th, 2008 11:53 pmI did a bit of uni work this morning before heading down the hill to Uni. Whilst there I accomplished lots--got the zircon mounts I'd made cleaned up and ready for the final polish (which task I am letting the expert handle--it is quite easy to polish them completely off, and then you have to start over!), discussed what all we will be analysing, and checked with my advisor to be certain my dwindling budget can handle it. Also discussed bunches of other topics with my advisor, and left, as I always do inspired and ready to work on the things we discussed.
However, I still needed to head into town to pay for my time in the parking garage yesterday and do grocery shopping. By the time I got home from those errands I needed to have some food and do some reading to recover. Alas, I made the mistake of clicking upon a link provided in
vesta_aurelia's journal to some Harry Potter fan fiction and the next thing I knew a couple of hours had elapsed. Oops. There is a reason I haven't been doing much reading lately.
I did eventually get to work, but much later this evening than I should have, and, am once again, sleepy. So I shall go do my yoga, read my 1000 and get some rest. More work tomorrow. Really. Well, I may also stop by the joint gathering of the UTAS Medieval and Renaissance Society (also known as the SCA College of St. Gildas the Wise) and the Anamie Society, which is being done as a picnic on the Parliament House lawns with a boffer war during the afternoon.
