Last weekend, as I've already mentioned, I enjoyed dancing to the music of Harlequin, a local band who makes their own Medieval Instruments and plays period music. Apparently someone in the audience had a camera!

In this video you get glimpses of myself and five friends dancing now and again as the dance carries us in front of the stage and then away again: Harlequin at Brookfield http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EthU-Zq6zwM

And in this one it is just the band, with their singer doing some dancing in front of the stage: Harlequin at Brookfield II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDHmCiSyWQM

Oops, sorry about that, I've never tried pointing someone to Utube before, and so used the url in the address bar, which works for other web pages. However, it turns out that they've got a "share" button, which gives a different address. I've edited the post to show that address instead, and also provided the names of the videos for one to use in a search if that doesn't work.

I think you'd like Harry's work on instrument making, he's made a number of hurdy-gurdy's and symphonies, and a variety of other instruments who's names I've forgotten. They've finally gotten a web page of their own: http://harlequintas.googlepages.com/home

It's working now. BTW, if you want to know what they're singing, scroll down to "In Taberna" here - not a bad transliteration if you ever want to attempt it in English either.

Thanks! I know that things like that are available on line, but I haven't time these days to go looking for them!

I knew you'd like them!
