I now have a reasonably compete first draft of my project plan for my application to do an Archaeology PhD at Umeå University. I still need to fill in some of the previous work section, but that has to wait till I get home to the computer on Monday. Are any of you willing to take a look and give me feedback?
This accompanies my motivation letter (which I already blogged about), which gives a bit of context to the proposal.
The road trip south has been going well. We left home at 16:33 on Thursday evening, and got as far as Sala by 02:00 on Friday, where we slept a few hours at a rest area. I got in a nap for part of the drive, and then switched to the passenger seat so Þórólfr could nap, adter which I got in some work on the proposal.
This morning we went into Sala city center to a bakery, because the boys wanted coffee. The bakery had some really nice looking semlor, so Keldor and I each had one. They were as good as they looked. Then we went on adventures, looking at old hill fort ruins, runestones, burial mounds, and ship barrows. Then the weather turned rainy, so I have been working on the proposal, and finally got it done enough to ask for feedback.
Now we are around 1.5 hours from site, so we should have time to check out the nearby castle before the event starts.
