A nice start to the day
Mar. 1st, 2022 08:16 amThis weekend I had exchanged messages with the daughter of the former owner of the house, and sent her photos of the three cars that still sit in the yard. She will see if she can get someone to come get them, and if not a scrap company will come take them.
When we got home from fighter training last night we noticed thst someone had removed the snow from the hood of the white car. Therefore I spent this morning's 40 minute call as Keldor drove to work first taking away the snow they'd knocked off the car, and then shoveling a clear area around the other two sides of the car (a path already existed between it an my car).
By the time I was done with that my tummy had begun sending messages wondering where breakfast was. But just before Keldor said goodbye to start his work day he asked if I was going to follow the shoveling with some yoga.
This sounded like a brilliant idea, so I drank a lot of water and took my vitamins to convince my stomach that we'd had breakfast, and then did a 60 minute yoga session with the Downdog app set to "Ashtanga", which was a great workout.
I was able to manage everything, mostly. It turns out that while I can manage the standing forward fold whilst in bound half lotus when it is my right foot tucked into my hip crease, I can't actually wrap my hand far enough around my body to take hold of my left foot when it is folded into my hip crease. I should do this type of session more often to see if I can get there. However, Keldor doesn't like the Ashtanga sessions calling them "fruktansvärt" challenging (he can't manage the bind in standing half lotus from eother side), so I guess I need to be doing an extra yoga session on my own more often if I want that improvement.
After yoga I got a reply to yesterday's message I sent to the city about the bill they sent me for the fact that the chimney sweep didn't sweep our chimney because the ladder attached to the side of the house lacks the extension to hold on to when one transitions to the ladder that goes up the roof to the chimney.
When they sent the bill they included a (paper) copy of a report from a couple of years ago indicating all of the prblems with the ladder, the chimney, etc. Therefore I logged in yesterday thanking them for that report and wondering why they hadn't just sent me a pdf copy back in January when I emailed them with questions about how the ladt chuminy cleaning went and if it is an option to use yhe fireplace.
Today's reply came with an apology--apparently they'd intended to send me the report then but didn't. Therefore we don't have to pay this bill and please let yhem know when we've fixed the problems and they will reschedule the chimney sweep.
Then I took a 20 minute nap, and typed up this. Now it is 08:40 and perhaps I should get our of bed and have that breakfast...
