I got this one from eithni. I'm not a big fan of many of the silly memes that go around, but I am curious to see what sort of response this one triggers...

1. Think of the first word that comes to mind when you think of me.

2. Go to Google Images and search for that word.

3. Reply to this post with one of the pictures on the first page of results (don't tell me the word).

4. Put this in your own journal so that I can do the same.

There would have been two simple options.

1) copy-paste the url into the window, and then I could go click on the link myself

2) follow the instructions on this page: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=6 but instead of using the URL for the entire web page, use your right-mouse button to "save image location" and use that url in the code from the instructions.

I strongly recommend you practice this skill between now and February, so that you can put photos into your journal entries while you are travelling, and those of us who can't go can travel with you vicariously. Heck--learn it before the Michigan trip, so you can share photos of old friends and family in your journal, instead of e-mailing them to me.

(I know that you will be fine following such instructions--you used to make the commodore64 work, despite having to put code on the top of ever document to tell the computer things like the size of the paper, the width of the margins, etc. HTML is *much* easier than that!)

Too tired to try pictures right now, and also to tired to even think. But just to let you know, the picture I e-mailed to you I got from right where your live journal said to go, and I clicked on google images and searched for the word eccentric. Then I just chose one of them. I know I wasn't supposed to tell you the word, but how else could you find it?

Well, I didn't say play with pictures *now*, just before you start travelling, so you know what you are doing by then.

Alas, nothing like the picture you sent me shows up if I do a google image search for eccentric (but I am *not* surprised that was the word you thought of!). If you had wanted me to guess, you could have re-searched yourself and then sent the url, but if it didn't come up for me, I don't know if it will come up for you. I don't understand the subtleties of google searches and what winds up on the first page.
