ktmcg, who said yesterday that she'd edit chapter five for me, and who has already returned it with many, many helpful suggestions (many of which I can't believe managed to get past me unnoticed).
I need to get some sleep before I incorporate her edits into the document, but the thesis will be much better as a result of her assistance than it would otherwise have been, and I am very appreciative.
