Had a fabulous time at dance practice tonight! We had a very unusual occurrence--the numbers were gender balanced! We had 12 of us dancing, six lords, and six ladies. My erstwhile apprentice attended and took photos, many of which are available for your viewing pleasure over in his facebook album, but I liked these two enough to put them here:








Sunday I stayed home from the tournament, as I knew I'd get nothing at all done on uni work if I gave into temptation and went. That turned out to be a very good idea--I woke up at a reasonable hour, given that I'd been up till 04:00, had breakfast, helped clovis_t mum in the garden a bit and then went back to sleep. Got up around 16:30, made some food, visited a bit with the tourney goers when they got home, and then managed to finish up one of the samples I'd been working on. This morning I was inspired and finished another two! Then went out to play this evening. delighted

And yes, cooking adventures are fun, but the aftermath isn't. I have a sink full of greasy pots and pans, having made garlic soup and spicy beef with rice tonight. But at least I have lunches and won't have to brave the Horrors that are the staff canteen and hospital food court tomorrow.

Having real food for lunch is really worth the clean-up effort, I think!
