As I posted yesterday, I both applied for a geology job and submitted an archaeology confence abstract. Then I thought about it, and sent the abstract to my contact at GTK saying "It occurs to me that this abstract might make a good example of my ability to communicate science in general, and geology in particular to a non-specialist audience. Therefore I am sending you a copy. If you think that it would be a good addition to the application, I could upload this, too."

This morning I got this reply:

"Please upload also this abstract, it looks nice."

No idea if I have a chance at this job or not, but the interactions so far make me feel more positive about my chances than I normally woud be...
