Much rejoicing!
Writing up the results in the thesis permits many paragraphs to be deleted which are now irrelevant. Net change -487 words, but the quality of that section is *much* improved!
Tomorrow: see if any more samples are candidates for this treatment or if it is time of move on to another step...
