getting somewhere

After three days of playing trial and error, doing calculations over and over with minor changes in the starting variables, I finally called the sample "done" and went to write up the results, and found, to my delight, that my model now not only predicts garnet of the correct composition at this temperature and pressure, but, for the first time ever, it is predicting the correct composition of feldspar too. There was much rejoicing. I'd hoped to get a second sample done today too, but it was not to be, it is no longer today, and I need some sleep...
