This weekend was the Jungfru Marie Bebådelsedagsgille SCA event in Reengarda, which was much fun. This year was the first in a new site, which is a bit bigger than the one they have been using since I moved to Sweden, which was a good thing, since the event drew more people than it usually does (we had the Prince and Princess present, so no surprises that the event was well attended). There were about 40 of us at the event, most of whom slept on site. The site is a scout camp, and the hall consisted of a kitchen, a small sleeping room, and a room *just* big enough for tables in a U to seat us all for the feast downstairs, and several small rooms upstairs for sleeping. However, the four rooms for sleeping weren't enough--even by putting everyone's sleeping mats or air mattresses right up next to one another it was still necessary for some people to sleep in the feast hall, which meant they needed to put their bedding away as soon as they woke up Saturday morning and couldn't put it back till after the feast.

The feast had nine courses, in between each of which was entertainment. I wound up being part of more entertainment than I had planned. I wound up doing a presentation on my A&S entry (the Norrskensbard's cloak, which wound up winning) along with all of the other entrants. I wound up doing the prologue to the Canterbury tales, at the prodding of my apprentice, who wanted an excuse to reprise her best round from Norrskensfest, lord_kjar, C., I, and two new people from our choir (who really enjoyed the event) performed Ridom, and my friend E. and I did our acroyoga routine. That was So much fun! Hearing the audience say "Ooooooo" every time we did one of the harder poses was also really fun, and, honestly, I hadn't expected that part. :-)
