My brother posted a link to my Facebook wall a few days from Buzzfeed about "25 signs you grew up a military brat". I found it funny, even though Dad was only a contractor for the Air Force during my high school years, when we were in Italy. It was definitely slanted towards those who lived on primarily on base, rather than on the economy (as we and most of our friends did), but I think item #2 rings true for both of us: "People ask you where you’re from and you don’t even try to explain. 'Nowhere. Everywhere. I don’t know.'" :)

A little bit different from the "military brat" experience, but have you heard of "Third Culture Kids"? Most often these are the children of diplomats, missionaries, or business families (eg. "oil brats"). They are children of "ex-pats" who spend a significant percentage of their formative years outside of their parent's home culture.
