I have often credited my frequent moves as a kid to my love of moving, so it is interesting to know that (an)other(s?) took the opposite reaction.
I think for me part of it is attention span--I get bored if things don't change every few years, at least. One of my friends recently lost the lease for the shop space for the business she has been running for the last decade, and is, understandably, sad about it. But my reaction was "Ten years! how can you keep doing the same job that long?!"
Sure, I have been in the SCA more than twice that long, but I think part of what helps it keep my attention is the picking up and moving to new places so often. It will be interesting to see what happens to my life if I ever do settle down in one place for lots of years...
