the couch has been unburried

While there are still a few boxes (craft stuff, generally) in the living room, I've finally managed to dig all the way down to the couch. The good news is that the open compartments under the cupboard and closet the apartment came with are large enough to hold the pavilion and the huge dome tent, so I don't have to make room for them in my office (though the pavilion poles are standing up in the corner of my office between my shelves and the wall). All of the books are unpacked and on shelves, and the paperback shelf is at least alpha by author, though the books aren't necessarily organized at the author level, yet, so one might find multipile series mixed or out of order. That will come, later. The hard-cover shelves aren't even organized by broad type (well, save for the math and science books, which came to the office and got organized here today), but are only arranged by height, so as to have the maximum number of shelves possible, and no shelf with wasted space between the top of the tallest book and the bottom of the overlying shelf. I've got this weekend left to try to bring order to the craft stuff and figure out how to hang my hanging-pot rack (because stacking the pots and pans on top of the remaining stacks of boxes is unattractive, as well as being in the way). Next week we fly to Stockholm on Wednesday, and stay through the following Sunday, attending a music/dance themed SCA event on the weekend (much money was saved on air fare by going a few days early, and I've never been to Stockholm, so why not?). Then I've just got till the 11th to get ready to fly to California for the conference followed by my Alaska vacation. No time, no time, no time! And tonight is an SCA meeting, so it is time to turn of the computer and head out the door...
