Nope, just their little mouths are enough to destroy the only tree type in which they are willing to live, or so I've been told. I haven't done any research on the topic myself. Humans are destructive, but it is taking us centuries to destroy our environment. Those beetles have a smaller environment, and are wiping it out in decades...
