Being short on sleep in the lead up to the event, and then being super busy all event probably contributed to my coming down with some sort of cold after the event. The event steward was feeling pretty sick, with a sore throat/swollen tonsils on Sunday while we were packing up (he hadn't been till he woke Sunday morning), so we sent him to go take a nap, as he didn't look like he could make the drive home without resting, and we let him sleep till we had only the final sort of the kitchen stuff into ours and the sites to deal with. But we were enough in his company that Keldor was feeling a bit under the weather on Monday, but not so sick that he felt the need to stay home from work, and he was feeling better by the time I started to feel like I was coming down with something on Wednesday.

On Wednesday I was still ok enough to work from home, but by Thursday, which was a short work day due to the holiday weekend, I was too miserable to even open my work computer to tell the payroll system I would be taking a sick day. Keldor, on the other hand, felt well enough he not only made it to work, but also made it to archery practice afterwards. By thursday mid-afternoon I wondered if whatever virus I was fighting wasn't also being assisted by pollen, now that the snow is mostly gone and the trees are waking up. I never really had problems with pollen before, but perhaps these things are cumulative? So I took my electric scooter up to the local pharmacy and explained that I wasn't certain if I was sick or allergic, but my eyes itch and my nose is full of clear liquid, and they gave me some one-a-day tablets, which I went home, took, and went straight to bed.

about 04:30 Friday I woke up to use the toilet and felt better, not healthy, but way, way better, and sensibly went back to sleep till a more reasonable hour to feed the cats and take my morning vitamine. I was better enough that I managed to hang a few things on the wall that have needed a home since we did the living room painting, and then spent much of the day on the couch reading. Keldor, who had been feeling fine the day before was now feeling sick, so he spent the day on the couch, too. By evening I was really better, so I went to the computer and started trying to deal with the event finances. This is complicated by the fact that we still haven't gotten me access to the shire bank account, though I took office four months ago, so I can't see what has gone through the bank account. But I was at least able to go through all the receipts that I have been mailed, give them their official receipt number, and enter them into the spreadsheet. This was enough to make it clear exactly where the receipt totals don't match the numbers the event team had been self-reporting in the event spreadsheet, but it took many hours to get a full report of what information is certain, and what information I need from other people, and by then, the others were long since sleeping, which I should also be doing, as it is 02:30 already.
