Minor crisis averted
Aug. 23rd, 2023 12:34 pmThey have been redoing the roads in our neighbourhood and today was the day that they started placing the curb stones. I, of course, didn't have hearing aids on as I worked, so I didn't hear them out there, and the first I knew was when I looked out my window at a nice row of curb stones, completely blocking access to where we park. So I went out and talked with them, and explained where we park, and were we need the curbs to be at the lower, entry way height, and she explained that on the map the only entrance is the one between our house and the neighbour's house, where the neighbour parks, and that we share that entrance (it does lead to our garage, but we don't use the garage). I explained that in the winter the city tends to completely block that entrance with the snow berms, and we have only ever managed to keep the one we use clear. So she made some phone calls, and came back and asked which five stones we want changed out to the low version. Yay!
