Extra delays
Nov. 22nd, 2022 09:15 pmHarumph. Trying to close my Alaska USA account and transfer the money to my Swedish bank account. Spent an hour on the phone with them going through the transfer paperwork, confirming my details and the details of my bank here, several times. She ended the call with "the wire transfer people will give you a call in half an hour to do a final confirmation before they press send. If you don't hear from them call us back, because the transaction is cancled without that final approval"
I gave them more than an hour, and still no word, so I called back, and they looked into it. My request is being scrutinised by the fraud department before they can act on it. So now it is bedtime and I need to stay up a bit longer and try again in another half an hour if they don't call.
Edited to add: called them, was told that the transaction was being checked by their fraud department, and if they didn't call me try again in another 45 minutes.
Did. Sat on hold six minutes. Heard the call start to connect. Got disconnected.
Called again, and finally rached them. Alas, now it was after their noon deadline to habe it work for today. Since we missed the noon deadline I have to call again in the morning their time and ask them to clone the transaction and start over.
