starting to get back into uni work
Dec. 17th, 2008 11:05 pmDespite spending part of the day trying to resolve our internet issues, and part of the day visiting with a friend who had moved to Canbara, but was in town for her graduation, I still managed over 4 hours of uni work today, and the thesis has more than 600 new words since I last reported. Here's hoping this is the start of even more time available for uni work (she said, pretending that the holidays won't be an issue...)
Alas, the router is not working, and it is still necessary for me to physically plug my computer into the modem or use the house computer (either way means waiting for a time no one else needs the house computer). This is frustrating--I hadn't really realized how often I need the internet in the course of uni work, but I am constantly reaching for it, and it isn't there. Sigh. Don't expect many comments from me, these stolen sessions don't leave me feeling like I can spare time to do much more than quickly skim everyone's posts to see if there is anything really important happening...
