I wandered down the hill this morning with [livejournal.com profile] clovis_t and picked up a library book my advisor had mentioned as potentially useful. I then wandered into his office for a chat, and came home inspired to work--spent much of the day making new graphs and comparing the composition of the various monazite crystals I've analysed by plotting age vs elements present in the monazite, to see which ones are random, and which ones are high for one generation and low for the other. Alas, this process took long enough I don't really have any new words to report, because by the time I completed that for everything I wanted to check, it was time to head to dance practice.

Yay, dance practice! Dance happens twice a month here, in the back room of a pub. We've got the use of the site for free, unless someone hires the room for a private function, in which case dance is cancelled. The one which would have happened two weeks ago got canceled for just that reason, so this was the first dance practice in a month, and I was ready to dance! The evening started slowly, with only a few of us present early on, but more people kept arriving, and soon we had a dozen dancers, and much fun was had by all!

I suppose I could have done more uni work after we got home (about 21:30), but instead I've actually emptied my e-mail in-box--for the first time in well over a month! I remember a time when I emptied it daily. Perhaps I'll manage that again now that it is clean once more.
