After a productive day yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] clovis_t and I went out dancing, since one of the local pubs was having a party to celebrate the end of exams, and having submitted his thesis and done his last exam, he thought it might be nice to get out and do something for a change. I very much enjoyed the evening, in part because that pub has a room were a decent percentage of the music played is old enough that I remember it fondly from my childhood, and besides, I love to dance, even to modern music. However, it meant staying out rather late, and that was, no doubt, a factor in today's lethargy. Given that it was nearly 03:00 before we did our yoga and went to bed, he'd set his alarm for 10:15. I sort of woke up at 09:00 and decided that I may as well get up, so I did, and managed to get a load of washing done and hung up to dry and some e-mail and livejournal read before deciding that I was sleepy, so back to bed I went. Two hours later I achieved sufficent conciseness to stumble back out of bed and read a bit more e-mail, LJ, and some fiction. Tried to work for a bit, then went for a walk with [livejournal.com profile] baronsnorri, which helped wake me up a bit more, and finally did a bit more work after the 10:00pm alarm went off. Normally that alarm exists to remind me that it is getting late and I should get to a breaking point with my work and think about yoga and bed. Tonight it seems to have indicated that, perhaps, I should work. The, somewhat embarrassing, total for the day? 100 new words and one new figure. I am *so* ready for tomorrow to be a productive day!

oh--I almost forgot--I did get an e-mail from the one school to which I've applied asking if I would be at AGU, since they are hoping to interview prospective candidates there. I replied that I wouldn't be able to make it (wish I could!), but that I have had good results using video/voice connections via skype, yahoo, and MSN, and perhaps that would be a good option for them.
