Funny you should ask--there was an opening there for a geologist of my specific flavor when I applied for the job in Italy, and I had turned in an application. However, I revived the job offer here before the closing date for application down there, so I sent them a note withdrawing my application as I'd been hired elsewhere. I was, frankly, concerned about heat being an issue there, but then, it is an issue here two months of the year (and so four months of my contract).
