The good news is that at least some of the boxes aren't missing after all. When we did the check to see if all the boxes were here there were four numbers we didn't tick off the list. We went back and looked at each stack then to see if they were there, after all, but didn't see them. However, today we unpacked all boxes containing books that aren't paperback novels, and in so doing found two of the missing boxes, including my diplomas, and some of the above mentioned books. That means the suitcase full of fabric is still missing (and is truly missing, as it is too oddly shaped to hide in a stack of boxes. There is one box of paperbacks which might be in the pile yet, but paperbacks can wait to be unpacked till I build the paperback shelves (which I shipped). Haven't seen the dulcimer books though, there are other music books. Hopefully they are here.
