I've only got an 18 month contract, so will be moving on some place else thereafter (presumably). I'd be inclined to do (at least) Italy and Greece on one trip, to get my money's worth out of the air fare, but that is just me. One of my friends in Tassie does a *lot* of traveling with her partner, and his rule is to budget $10/day *including* airfare--if he can't get it under that, he won't go, so they always stay quite a while whenever they leave the country.
