historic, life changing letters

Yesterday my mother found a very historic document in her correspondence. The letter she wrote to my step dad accepting his proposal of marriage that had been relayed to her via my sister after a long-distance phone call with her fiend Kirsty in Australia. At the time the proposal was made all that Terry knew about my mother was that she lived in Alaska and had a daughter named Beth, who had been an exchange student in Finland with his oldest daughter. He didn't even know her name. At the time mom accepted all she knew about him was that he lived in Australia and had a daughter who was Beth's friend from when they were in Finland together. She didn't even know his name. I couldn't resist posting it to my journal, with the correct date (the day the letter was written), because it is too precious not to share. However, at mom's request, it is "friends-locked", so if anyone reading this post wants to see it, and isn't on my "access list" let me know.
