Friday, at long last

 Today at work I used AI to help me write code, and it worked, and I accomplished what I was trying to do. I don't think I am likely to have social conversations with AI any time soon, but programming help from a program? That makes sense. 

This evening we finly took the couple of large jars of dried mushrooms (*goliatmusseron*, also called matsutake, and *karljohanssvamp*, which google says is called penny bun)

and ) and ran them through the food processor to make 2 liters of mushroom powder. That should last a while, even though we put it in most things we cook. Luckily, it is mushroom season, so Keldor is often out collecting them on the way home from work.

Ooo mushroom powder sounds like it would be a really special condiment! I have had masutake mushrooms one time, when I lived at Bill's house. (I think that is the name of the mushroom that tasted like the scent of conifer woods, in a very delicious way)

We use it as an ingredient. I don't ever buy any sort of bullion or powdered stock, but if I feel like a quick egg drop soup or pot of ramen noodles I use a spoonful of the mushroom powder, some dried nettles and/or kale, perhaps a bit of beetroot powder, plus powdered garlic, onion,and spices. The broth is nice and rich (a dollop of butter makes it richer, or add a little soy sauce if it an Asian flavour you want), and takes only the time it needs to come to a boil to be ready to eat.

I also add a larger spoonful to any soup or stew.
