kareina | Continuing forward at a snail's pace

Another two hours on the phone today with Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, and we are back to where I was when I first posted yesterday. The wire is set up, ready, approved, and just needs the people in the wire office to call me and get the final, final approval. Sadly, today's exchange rate isn't as favourable as yesterday's, so it won't be quite as much when it arrives on 5 December as it would have been had yesterday's planned 4 December transfer gone through.

I am still trying to be cheerful and pleasant to the people helping me, but I am not feeling so good about their progress at the moment...

Edited to add: when they didn't call back in an hour I called them, was quickly transferred to a sweet lady who did the final, final verification and assures me that the money is on the way
