managed to turn it in

Thanks to editing help from a number of friends, I managed to complete my grant application and turn it in by mid day today--which is a full day and a half before the deadline. I am certain that I would have continued to find things to tweak and change on it if I had waited and gave it yet another read over, but, eventually, one must decide that a bit of writing is done, and just live with it. Now I need to try to forget about it, since the decision won't be made till November, and there is nothing more I can do to influence their decision now.

Then I went home and took a nap, since I had gotten up early, after too little sleep to finish it. Now I really should look at the data that arrived today--analyses for the last batch of samples we went off. I have been looking forward to getting them, but, despite the nap, I am still feeling tired. However, today would be a good day for that, since I am scheduled to do sample collection on Thursday and Friday, so won't have time for it then.
