Yes, the high peaks are quite sharp-edged. The valley in which we were hiking is obviously glacially carved, with rugged peaks that once stuck up out of the ice, rounded peaks that were completely covered, and a U-shaped profile for much of the length, with a V-shaped bottom in places where the stream has done additional carving since the ice melted.
